That you will hear me say that i will never run away I am here for you Love is meant for two This wedding was brought to you by Prince and too many bags of kettle chips. There are tales to tell, but not enough time presently to tell them, there was so so much beauty. The ever wonderful Tori Hancock was on camera, thank you to her for the above image. It made me cry. In other news today is

Yesterday Mr F and I escaped for the day. I always think a day off in the week is delightfully decadent. I'm easily pleased. Prize winning sheep The Red Arrows Wood fired pizza from the back of a horse box and a cathedral Paul Simon played on the radio on the way home. all pictures taken on the iPhone. Its still a low hit rate with the phone.

If his 40th is anything to go by, Mr Naylor should be in event planning The bar was bigger than that at The Grosvenor I want a teleporter After lifting pallets and chitting trays and only

Summer

Britain is in a frenzy, we have a summer, which in real terms means we have had more than 3 sunny days in a row, and the tennis obvs. Sunday was too hot, and everybody complained, but yesterday and today are just right. 23 degrees or thereabouts with blue skies and a light breeze. The shop with it's thick stone walls and being on the shady side of the

Only know you love her when you let her go Passenger People think the post title are secret messages to people. They aren't. Well rarely. Sometimes. Quite often. Not today, today is just because it's the only song ever played anywhere. and besides i've opted for a much less subtle approach. We've been busy, very busy, and hot, and wet. I don't have the right clothing for any of

I love weddings I am good at them, not in a shout it from the rooftops, retweet all the compliments and make all the selfies way, just in a finally discovering some self confidence sort of way. I really like chips, with salt NO vinegar straight from the paper. I have shuffled the shop around again. and am quite into plants. I am addicted to M&S croissants. I always fall

Guided by a beating heart I am so behind on bringing you pictures of the weddings we have been merrily toiling away on, that the pro images are ready before i have brought you mine. and who doesn't love a blog post with images of the actual Bride and groom looking so deliriously happy, taken by a proper photographer? In this instance Binky Nixon, stalk her blog, for when she

Come undone  In amongst all the weddings, parties, launches, funerals, birthdays, anniversaries, apologies, and declarations of love, there have been a few hours off. A night and day in Norfolk, eat here. If you have a 5 year old for the day, take them here, it is the most wonderful place, which i had never been into before. Swimming costumes and waterproof shoes a

The Eden Project, home of large plastic domes, and very good chocolate cake. Chocolate cake made of beans. My top tips for visiting. 1.Wear flat shoes obvs. The Eden Project is all about the environment, harvesting rainwater for the loos and what have you, but this doesn't mean you have to wear Birkenstocks/ velcro sandals,

This morning i did a telephone interview "What has inspired you today?" "Nick Sloane" "Sorry, what did you say?" "Nick Sloane, Chief salvage master, overseeing the Costa Concordia, can you imagine being given the task of working out how to right it? He's like Red Adair, I'm in awe" Silence "Right, probably our readers just want to know a colour or something, shall i just put

Monday the 4th of November at the shop 7 St. Paul's street, Stamford, PE9 2BE 9.30 - 4.30 Keeping it wild My love of mixing lots of foliage with the very best of flowers is well documented, as is my love for using herbs and edibles. Creating asymmetrical designs with a wild and rugged and perhaps a quirky feel, although the word quirky has been grossly overused and I'm struggling

The very nature of the beast they call wedding flowers is a last minute affair, late nights, very early mornings. We drink all the coffee, and all the Diet Coke, and eat all the sugar. and when it's all over the adrenalin/ caffeine/ heart palpitations are still going so we dance around our work rooms interpretative dance until we come down.

On Monday Mrs Beard and I went to the antiques fair in Lincoln. The Hound came too, on account of me having him left him behind when i went to London at the weekend, and i felt guilty doing it again. He spent much of the day trying to goad various bits of taxidermy and china lions into playing with him, so that was nice. The fair is at the show ground, full of all

Friday was the You magazine Christmas shoot. We took over most of the street, commandeering fireplaces and doors. Banging nails into things all in the spirit of editorial. It really was a fascinating day, i love watching other creatives at work, the lingo of other industries, page sizes/ lens types, what hashtag bts means on the instagram (behind the scenes) The photographer was

Yesterday there was a flower school it was glorious The loveliest group of ladies who made arrangements and hand tied bouquets and headresses and corsages and ate cassoulet and drank wine and talked of hounds and weddings and I didn't take enough photographs of everybody and everything they made. I am a big fan of adding fruit to florals, to enable one's guests to
